Dante's Inferno – Oreoz × Devil Driver
A breeding project by Clearwater Genetics together with Tiki Madman – and one of the most sought-after US genetics of recent years. The mother line, Oreoz, brings chocolate, coffee and creamy sweetness; Devil Driver adds diesel, citrus and a pronounced peppery bite. The result is an aroma of sweet fruit candy, grape and cherry over an earthy, gassy foundation – caryophyllene, limonene and myrcene dominate the terpene profile.
Vigorous, indica-leaning growth with broad, dark green foliage and short internodes. The plant sets compact, very dense flower clusters that take on purple tones towards the end of bloom and are shot through with orange pistils. Resin production is above average – for me, a clear candidate for extracts.
Photoperiod, suitable for indoor, greenhouse and outdoor. Flowering time around 8–9 weeks (approx. 65 days); outdoors, the harvest window falls in mid-October. Yields are around 400–500 g/m² indoors and, in good conditions, up to 600 g per plant outdoors.
Given the dense bud structure, I would defoliate consistently and keep good air movement through the canopy – especially in the last three weeks. The variety is sensitive to over-fertilising; I cut nitrogen back noticeably during the stretch. Manageable for beginners, but it shows its full potential with a bit of experience.
